Wow – half way through April, and second term back at school already. How times flies!   As with March, April is also a busy time for events and awareness, the biggest (and closest to my heart) is Autism Awareness Month.  Autism Awareness Month runs through to the end of April and ends with Autism Hour and Dress Differently Dayon April 30th. Autism is a complex neurological disorder for which there is no cure, like so many other debilitating disorders. Chances are you know someone affected by an Autism Spectrum disorder. So, this is the month to really become aware of what living with Autism involves - as a parent of an ASD child, a sibling, a grandparent, a friend, teacher, or a sufferer – if you know someone affected by ASD take the time to read and learn about Autism. Thankyou.

Also this month, World Guide Dog day on the 28th April – please support the great work these dogs (and thier trainers) do for the vision impaired!  The Guide Dogs can always use donations, and puppy carers too, so if you are able to help, please contact the Guide Dog Association.

There will be new products available soon – including a ’Getting Dressed’ organisation chart. I am also trying to secure some new feeding and oral motor products, and also hope to have some relaxation cd’s available soon. I will keep you posted! If there is a particular product you would like to see on this website, please feel free to email me.

Before we know it May will be upon us, and there is a lot on in May too, so until next time – have a great day!
